研究简介:

释光现象就是吸收辐照能量后的矿物晶体在受到加热或光照时发射光的现象,如果是热激发的,发射的光就称为热释光(TL);如果是光(包括红外线)激发的,发射的光就称为光释光(OSL)。矿物的释光性质有广泛的用途,其中在第四纪地质和地貌与考古研究中的主要应用是测年。本课题组涉及释光测年技术、方法和基本理论的研究,比如探讨各种释光信号的性质对测年的影响,如何提高测年的精确度,开发可测年的矿物等,这方面的研究需要一定的物理基础。本课题组另一个重要的研究方向是释光技术在第四纪河流阶地等地貌过程和环境考古尤其是旧石器遗址年代等方面的应用研究,在这些方面的应用主要就是通过光释光技术提供各种地质地貌事件或考古事件的年代序列,比如通过光释光技术测量黄河阶地的发育年代,从而可以讨论黄河的演化历史;比如通过测量考古遗址堆积物得到其年代序列,结合其它资料,可以恢复古人类的生活环境,探讨人类起源等,应用方面的研究需要地学和考古学方面的知识。
